Since its founding in 1981, Bittinger Associates has planned and developed
properties with a common purpose: to revitalize historic communities while
maintaining their rural settings.

Towns and cities including Princeton and Hopewell in New Jersey, Concord and Newport in New Hampshire, White River Junction and Hartland in Vermont now have revitalized neighborhoods and conserved land along with housing and workplaces which are meeting their citizen’s vital needs.

The firm has been an early and strong supporter of smart growth principles. Mr. Bittinger is past Chair of the Sustainability Institute. Architecturally, building designs reflect their site context and the region’s vernacular style. Construction materials and technology are selected in keeping with U.S Green Building practices.

Whether the project is structured as a private, not for profit, or public enterprise, the goal is consistent: to build properties which become valued assets in their communities.
